In an effort to fight piracy, Strive Masiyiwa announced on his facebook page that Sasai will soon be launching a payment service that will enable African content creators to create and share content on Sasai.
3 new features that will now be available on the social platform:
- # SasaiMoments (for video clips of up to 5 minutes)
- # SasaiWatch (for video content of up to 1 hr)
- # SasaiPodcast (for audio content and storytelling).
He explained saying;
What I really want is a platform where Africans can express themselves, and showcase their amazing creative talents: from modern and traditional African music and storytelling (go interview your grandmother!) for instance, to futuristic programming to create video games. Africa is a bit behind on this one!

Sasai will also introduce its own payment platform (SasaiPay) where hopefully millions of people will come to see the content from Africa.
